How we judge a deal

Amazon.ae does not show past prices, and a strikethrough "was" price is set by the seller. So we ignore the label and look at what the product actually cost. For each product we take the daily median price in AED and compare today's price with three numbers from its own history:

• The 90-day low, the cheapest it has been in the last three months.
• The 90-day average, what it usually costs.
• The pre-sale price, its typical price two to six weeks ago, before any pre-sale price moves.

How to use this list

1. Use it as a sanity check, not a shopping list. The best deal is the one on something you were going to buy anyway.
2. Check your own product. Not on the list? Open it on Amazon.ae with PriceGate and you will see the same 90-day low and average on its chart.
3. Skip fake discounts. If the price is the same as in early November, the sale badge is decoration. Read more on spotting fake White Friday discounts.
4. For Wait items, set a target. A target near the 90-day low means you get an alert if it drops during White Friday or on Cyber Monday.
