PriceGate / Amazon price history in the UAE

How to check Amazon price history in the UAE

Amazon.ae does not show past prices. Here is how to see them in AED, read the chart, and tell a real deal from a fake one.

Why check the price history before you buy

The price on the page today is only one point on a line. Without the line, you cannot know if AED 349 is a real deal or the same price the product has had for months. Price history answers three questions in a few seconds:

How to see Amazon.ae price history

Amazon.ae does not show past prices on its product pages, so you need a tool that records them. With PriceGate:

  1. Add PriceGate to Chrome, Edge or Brave.
  2. Open the product on Amazon.ae.
  3. Read the chart in the PriceGate panel: the lowest, average and highest price, and the verdict, Good price or Maybe wait.
  4. If it is not a good price yet, set a target and PriceGate will alert you when the price gets there.

About the data: the history is shared and anonymous, built from the products PriceGate users view and track. Popular products have long charts; a product nobody has tracked yet starts building its chart once someone tracks it. PriceGate never shows a made up history.

How to read the chart

Lowest price

The cheapest price recorded. If today is close to it, it is usually a good moment to buy.

Average and median

The typical price. A "sale" that sits at the average is not really a sale.

Highest price

Useful for spotting inflated "was" prices: if the high is the same as the strikethrough price and it only lasted a day, treat the discount with care.

Best times to buy on Amazon.ae

Big sale events in the UAE, such as Prime Day, White Friday, Ramadan and the Dubai Shopping Festival, often bring real drops, but not on every product. Check the history during the sale: if the price is near the lowest it has been, buy; if it is near the average, set an alert and wait.

Common questions

How can I see the price history of an Amazon product in the UAE?

Install a price history extension such as PriceGate, then open the product on Amazon.ae. The chart shows how the price changed over time in AED, with the lowest, average and highest price.

Does Amazon.ae show old prices?

No. Amazon.ae shows today's price and sometimes a strikethrough list price, but not a history. A tracker records prices over time so you can compare.

How far back does the price history go?

It depends on the product. PriceGate's history is built by its users, so popular products have long histories and new or rarely viewed products have shorter ones.

Is it free to check Amazon price history?

Yes. PriceGate is free, has no ads and does not sell your data.
