It is mostly the same late November sale under different names. What matters is which store, which dates, and whether the price is really lower.
The short answer
Black Friday is the US shopping day after Thanksgiving, on Friday 27 November 2026. In the UAE, several big stores run their own version of it under a different name. White Friday is Amazon's name in the UAE and Saudi Arabia (souq.com used it first, and Amazon kept it after taking over). Friday is the holy day of the week in Islam, so many regional retailers chose a name that avoids "black". Yellow Friday is noon's name, after its brand colour. Others simply call it Black Friday.
So in practice it is one sale season with several names. The differences that matter to you are the dates, the store, and whether the price on your product is genuinely lower.
Who runs what (as of 24 October 2026)
No major store has announced its 2026 dates yet. The windows below are expectations based on past years, and we will update this page when dates are confirmed.
- Amazon.ae: White Friday. Expected in the last ten days of November. In 2025 it ran 20 to 30 November. Read our White Friday 2026 guide for the details and a watchlist plan.
- noon: Yellow Friday. Also expected around 20 to 30 November, the same window as its 2025 sale. noon has not announced 2026 dates.
- Namshi (fashion and beauty): has run its own Black Friday and White Friday promotions in past seasons. Check Namshi's app for the 2026 name and dates; we have not seen an announcement.
- Electronics chains and malls (for example Sharaf DG, Virgin Megastore, Jumbo, and brand stores): many run "Black Friday" or "White Friday" promotions online and in store over the same period. Each one sets its own dates.
- Green Friday is a label some brands use for sustainability campaigns rather than discounts. Do not assume it means a sale.
After this comes Cyber Monday (30 November 2026) and then the Dubai Shopping Festival from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. The UAE sale calendar puts them all on one page.
Does the name tell you anything about the deal?
No. A "White Friday" label on Amazon.ae and a "Yellow Friday" label on noon are both marketing. Neither guarantees the lowest price of the year. A strikethrough "was" price can be the price from last week, from a different seller, or from a moment when the price was raised. Our anonymous Amazon.ae price data (January to October 2026, 177 products in AED) shows why history matters: in March 2026 more than half of tracked products rose in price, and many never came back down. How to compare the same product across stores
- Match the exact model. Model number, storage, colour and region version. "Same phone" on two sites can be two different SKUs.
- Check the Amazon.ae price history first. Open the product with PriceGate to see its AED price over time and its recent low. That tells you whether the sale price is unusual or ordinary.
- Compare totals, not headlines. Add delivery, subtract the card offer only if you have that card, and check the seller and warranty.
- Set an alert on Amazon.ae. If neither store is at your target price, an alert near the recent low catches the drop whenever it comes, including Cyber Monday or DSF.

What is the difference between Black Friday and White Friday?
They are the same late November shopping event. White Friday is the name Amazon uses in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, partly because Friday is a special day in the region. Black Friday is the original US name, still used by many other retailers in the UAE.
Is Yellow Friday the same as White Friday?
No. Yellow Friday is noon's own sale, named after its yellow brand colour. It usually runs in the same late November window as Amazon.ae's White Friday, which makes it worth comparing the two.
Which is cheaper in the UAE, Amazon.ae or noon?
It depends on the product and the day. Neither is cheaper across the board. Compare the same model and variant, and compare the total including delivery and any card offer.
Is Black Friday on 27 November 2026?
Yes, US Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November. UAE sales built around it usually run for several days before and after, not just on the Friday.
